\u00c0 l'occasion de la Journ\u00e9e internationale des droits des femmes, j'ai eu le plaisir d'assister \u00e0 l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00ab Embrace Equity \u00bb organis\u00e9 par PwC Luxembourg et l'AMCHAM. C'est une tradition pour moi depuis plus d'une d\u00e9cennie, et que je suis heureuse de perp\u00e9tuer en tant que participante externe d\u00e9sormais.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Le panel \u00e9tait formidable, et j'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 inspir\u00e9(e) et touch\u00e9(e) par tous les intervenants.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Les discussions pendant la pr\u00e9sentation et le d\u00e9jeuner de r\u00e9seautage m'ont pouss\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 l'importance des mod\u00e8les de r\u00f4le dans la d\u00e9finition de notre champ des possibles per\u00e7u et, par cons\u00e9quent, de nos choix individuels. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNous sommes fa\u00e7onn\u00e9s par la culture dans laquelle nous vivons, par ce que nous observons \u00e0 la maison, dans nos communaut\u00e9s, dans les m\u00e9dias et dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Le plus souvent, ce processus est inconscient ; nous y sommes immerg\u00e9s et nous le tenons pour acquis. Il faut un effort conscient pour avoir conscience de nos pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s et de la mani\u00e8re dont la culture dans laquelle nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9s fa\u00e7onne nos croyances, nos sch\u00e9mas de pens\u00e9e et ce que nous percevons comme \u201c la norme \u201d.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    En tant qu'enfants, qu'adolescents et m\u00eame qu'adultes, nous avons tendance \u00e0 nous projeter dans les r\u00f4les occup\u00e9s par nos pairs, ou par les personnes que nous percevons comme \u00e9tant \u201c comme nous \u201d.<\/strong> Ainsi, si je grandis en voyant des personnes qui me ressemblent, qui parlent comme moi et qui agissent comme moi exercer les m\u00e9tiers de professeur, d'avocat et de secr\u00e9taire, je n'aurai aucun mal \u00e0 me projeter dans ces professions. Il me faut faire un effort d'imagination pour me projeter dans le r\u00f4le d'un m\u00e9canicien, d'un plombier ou d'un pilote d'avion, si je n'ai jamais vu personne \u201c comme moi \u201d dans ces r\u00f4les.<\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    Et ainsi, les r\u00f4les de genre traditionnellement attribu\u00e9s se perp\u00e9tuent. Non pas par manque de comp\u00e9tences, ni par manque d'options et de choix, mais d'abord par manque d'imagination et de mod\u00e8les de r\u00f4le facilement accessibles.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    • \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMettre en lumi\u00e8re, dire \u00e0 haute voix et montrer ostensiblement que tous les genres peuvent choisir d'occuper tous les r\u00f4les et toutes les professions est la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape pour ouvrir le champ des possibilit\u00e9s afin que les jeunes puissent r\u00e9ellement et v\u00e9ritablement choisir leur voie.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      C'est \u00e9galement ma conviction personnelle que de pr\u00e9senter les choses comme une \u201c autonomisation des femmes \u201d est r\u00e9ducteur. Les hommes sont \u00e9galement enferm\u00e9s dans des cases. Les hommes font aussi l'objet de discrimination et sont rabaiss\u00e9s lorsqu'ils osent adopter des r\u00f4les qui ne leur \u201c appartiennent \u201d traditionnellement pas : soignants, infirmiers, sages-femmes, p\u00e8res au foyer, et la liste est longue...<\/p>

      \u00a0<\/p>

      Pour qu'une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 soit v\u00e9ritablement juste, v\u00e9ritablement inclusive et que l'\u00e9quit\u00e9 r\u00e9elle soit atteinte, nous devons r\u00e9unir tout le monde autour de la table. Qu'il s'agisse de la table du conseil d'administration ou de la table \u00e0 langer !<\/p>
